Biography
Dr. Sandeep Bhardwaj is a distinguished academic leader, management educator, and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in academic leadership and more than 17 years of industry experience across diverse managerial roles. He has been serving VES Business School with a strong commitment to academic excellence, institutional development, and the holistic growth of students and faculty.
He holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM Calcutta, followed by graduation from the University of Mumbai and postgraduate qualifications including MMM from the University of Mumbai and MPM from Savitribai Phule Pune University. His academic journey culminated in a PhD in Consumer Behaviour, with his research focusing on insurance in rural and urban Bottom-of-the-Pyramid (BOP) markets, from Symbiosis International University. He also contributes to academia as a PhD guide.
Dr. Bhardwaj brings rich industry exposure from reputed national and international organisations, including NELCO, Camlin, and Tata Infotech. His professional journey spans administration, sales, marketing, training, and organisational leadership. He has also held the position of Head of Marketing – Global Outsourcing in Dubai, UAE. His extensive corporate experience enables him to bring real-world business perspectives into management education.
With Marketing as his core area of specialisation, Dr. Bhardwaj has inspired generations of management students through his teaching, mentoring, and industry-oriented approach. He is passionate about developing future leaders by integrating domain knowledge, real-life experiences, technology, and essential life skills into management education. His academic engagements have also extended internationally, including an invited lecture for international students at Krakow University, Poland.
Dr. Sandeep Bhardwaj assumed charge as the Director of VES Business School on 1 October 2025. As Director, he provides strategic direction to the institution by periodically reviewing and strengthening its strategic plans in response to emerging opportunities and changing educational and industry requirements. He provides leadership to the teaching and administrative teams, oversees institutional administration and academic quality, and works towards enhancing student learning, faculty development, research, innovation, and industry engagement.
A strong people-oriented leader and team builder, Dr. Bhardwaj believes in creating a collaborative environment that enables individuals and teams to achieve their full potential. His leadership encompasses organisational development, innovation, technology intervention, change management, team building, and institutional excellence. He actively engages with students, faculty, staff, alumni, industry partners, accrediting bodies, government and regulatory organisations, and other stakeholders to build an ecosystem that maximises academic and professional development.
Under his leadership, VES Business School continues to pursue a transformative vision of management education—one that combines academic rigour with practical exposure, innovation, technology, and real-world learning. His vision is to contribute meaningfully to the evolution of management education in India and to leverage technology and collaborative initiatives to make quality education more impactful and accessible.
