Dr. Meena Sharma
Biography
Dr. Meena Sharma currently serves as Professor of Finance at Vivekanand Education Society's Business School. She holds a PhD and an M.Com. in Banking and Business Finance from M.S. University, Baroda, where she also won a gold medal for her academic excellence in the master's program. To expand her expertise, she earned both an MBA and a PGDM with a specialisation in Finance from IGNOU. She has a total of 22 years of experience. Her primary research and instructional areas focus on Accounts and Finance, Banking and Insurance, and General Management.
As a researcher and academic leader, Dr Sharma has authored three books and published multiple research papers in various national and international academic journals. Notably, she received the Outstanding Research Paper Award for two consecutive years at an international conference hosted by the Department of Commerce at Mumbai University. Dedicated to higher education, she guides doctoral candidates as an official PhD. Guide, and she has also reviewed and evaluated PhD theses for students at JJTU. Driven by a strong educational philosophy, Dr Sharma firmly believes that teaching is the greatest act of optimism and that a good teacher always teaches from the heart rather than just from a book.
