Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta
Biography
Dr. Ajay Gupta is a professor at VES Business School, India, an Erasmus Mundus Fellow from the University of Milan, Italy, & a professional ATLAS.ti senior trainer. He holds a Ph.D. in organizational psychology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a master’s in management from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Ajay Gupta has 29 years of rich and diversified experience that includes Indian Air Force, Banking and Management Education.
Dr. Gupta has taught at TAPMI, Manipal, an AACSB-accredited premier business management institute in India. He is the invited faculty in IIM, Mumbai, TISS, IIPS, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, to teach courses in qualitative research and data analysis using ATLAS.ti, people management, OD and change, business ethics for executives, PhD, and management courses.
Dr. Gupta has conducted 35+workshops and faculty development programs in many prestigious institutes like Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), IIM, Mumbai (NITIE), MNNIT, Allahabad, IIM Shillong, National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT), Sydenham Institute of Management Studies and Research, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), AURO University, University of Rajasthan, Amity University, Banasthali Vidyapith, Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University, MET Institute of Management, Bank of Baroda, Apex Academy, National Law University, Delhi, and Child Rights and You, etc. He has conducted an international webinar invited by the University of British Columbia, Canada, and delivered sessions on Qualitative Research and Data Analysis at the University of Cartagena, Spain.
Dr. Gupta is a member of the organizing committee for the World Conference on Qualitative Research, 2025 organized by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, and was a member of the local organizing committee for the World Conference on Qualitative Research, 2024, and an invited member to Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Gupta authored three books and 30+ journal articles. "Corporate Demons" and "The Handbook on Management Cases: A Practitioner's View" are authored books. "Qualitative methods and data analysis using ATLAS.ti: a comprehensive researcher's manual" is a published book by Springer.
