Every successful enterprise relies on strong operations and a seamless supply chain.

The PGDM Operations and Supply Chain Management program at VBS prepares students to design efficient systems, optimize processes and manage end to end value creation in both manufacturing and service sectors.

The program blends strategy with technology, analytics with decision making and strong conceptual understanding with practical exposure. Through 15 months of classroom learning followed by a 9 month paid internship, students gain the skills and experience needed to succeed in a dynamic global marketplace.

Program Highlights

  1. 15 9 Structure for Real Operations Experience
    15 months of academic learning in core and advanced operations concepts, followed by a 9 month paid internship in manufacturing companies, logistics firms, consulting companies, retail, ecommerce and service organizations. Students graduate with direct experience in operations and supply chain roles, which gives them a distinct advantage during placements.
  2. Industry Aligned Curriculum Covering End to End Operations
    The curriculum covers operations strategy, digital transformation trends, supply chain planning and forecasting, logistics and distribution management, procurement and vendor management, inventory control, quality management and process design. This prepares students to manage and optimize supply chains across industries.
  3. Training in Supply Chain Analytics and Decision Models
    Students develop strong analytical and problem solving capabilities through subjects such as supply chain analytics, optimization models, operations research, simulation techniques and project management fundamentals. These skills help students understand complex systems and make data driven decisions.
  4. Practical and Experiential Learning
    Learning at VBS is hands on and industry oriented through live projects, plant and facility visits, case studies of real operational challenges, simulation based workshops and industry interactions with supply chain leaders. Students gain practical understanding of how operations work in real environments.
  5. Lean Six Sigma Certification
    The program includes training and certification in Lean Six Sigma which strengthens process excellence, waste reduction, quality improvement and structured problem solving. This certification is highly valued in consulting, manufacturing and service industries.
  6. Exposure to Sustainable Operations and Green Supply Chain Practices
    Students learn modern approaches to sustainable operations, eco friendly processes, green logistics, responsible sourcing and digital twin based thinking. This knowledge prepares them for the future of global operations.
  7. International Exposure and Scholarship Opportunity
    Eligible students may receive the International Academic Scholarship which covers travel, accommodation, food and course fees for an international immersion experience.
