Vivekanand PGDM Alumni Review – Mr. Sunil Jagwani’s Learning Journey at Vivekanand Business School

Mr. Sunil Jagwani from the PGDM batch 2011-13 at Vivekanand, looks back his two year as a time where he learned a lot through real experiences and the support he got from his teachers. His journey shows how classroom learning, guidance from faculty, and practical exposure can shape a student’s confidence and way of working.

Which part of the PGDM journey at Vivekanand influenced you the most and why?

There were many experiences which influenced me but the one that left the deepest imprint was undoubtedly my internship with Amul, after my internship I got to do a project under the able guidance of Dr. Debjani Banerjee, I gained a deep understanding of marketing strategies and how they are put into action. 

This combination of real-world experience and focused guidance made that whole period the most valuable part of my learning at Vivekanand.

How did Vivekanand prepare you for real-world challenges in your career?

My time at Vivekanand truly prepared me for the real world challenges. Our teachers were always supportive, they encouraged us to look for new opportunities and pushed us to participate in the various events, which helped us gain lot of practical knowledge beyond textbooks this constant motivation to explore and participate made us stronger and much confident, giving us the opportunities and mindset we needed. All these experiences prepared us for the real world competitive job market we stepped into after PGDM.

How did the faculty, placements, or industry exposure support your journey?

Faculties were always supportive, apart from classroom learning faculties ensure that learning translate into experience. Faculties taught us discipline, resilience and importance of taking initiative. They prepared us to lead by combining theoretical knowledge with practical exposure. Their constant support and guidance truly prepared me for real world challenges.

What are your top 3 reasons to recommend Vivekanand to future students?

I would like to recommend Vivekanand to future students for these 3 reasons

Discipline, which instilled a routine and focus that truly helped us manage our studies and life better, preparing us for the bigger challenges. 

Expert faculties, most of whom are Ph. D holders with extensive industry experience, they laid a strong foundation for leadership by integrating theory with real life theoretical knowledge with practical exposure.

Academically, the curriculum was aligned with the industry trends, ensuring we get relevant knowledge and well prepared for the workplace.
