Mr. Himanshu Bora (PGDM Batch 2022–2024) is a Risk & Fraud Analyst at Bank of America. He talks about how his experiences during the PGDM program helped him build practical skills and gain the confidence needed to step into the corporate world.

Which part of the PGDM journey at Vivekanand influenced you the most and why?
For me, peer-to-peer learning was the most impactful part of the program. Collaborating with classmates on projects, case studies, and group discussions helped me see problems from different perspectives and develop critical thinking skills. Learning alongside a diverse group of peers enriched my understanding and gave me practical insights that went beyond textbooks.
How did Vivekanand prepare you for real-world challenges in your career?
The program’s focus on practical knowledge was a game-changer. The faculty, with their extensive experience, emphasized hands-on learning, case studies, and real-world problem-solving. This approach ensured I could apply concepts effectively and confidently when facing professional challenges in the corporate world.
How did the faculty, placements, or industry exposure support your journey?
The faculty provided consistent guidance and practical support, helping me refine my skills and approach to problem-solving. Prominent recruiters visited the campus, giving students direct exposure to corporate selection processes. Engaging with these recruiters and understanding their expectations helped me gain clarity about the industry and boosted my confidence. Combined with industry exposure through projects and case studies, these experiences ensured I was well-prepared to meet corporate expectations successfully.
What are your top 3 reasons to recommend Vivekanand to future students?
I would recommend Vivekanand PGDM program for three main reasons: the knowledgeable and supportive faculty, the strong learning support that blends theory with practice, and the placement assistance that equips students to be job-ready. For me, these aspects made the PGDM experience both valuable and transformative.
